85 Days. One story, which is well known in the vegetable seed world, states that the Rocky Ford Honeydew Melon was developed by a J.W. Eastwood of Rocky Ford, Colorado in 1881.  An heirloom variety, first introduced in the mid 1800's.  The luscious melons you'll find growing on these vines are 5 to 6 inches across, with light green flesh, and a nutmeg like flavor.
